Independent field service for SPGPrints TITANIUM multifunction CTP systems and PLATINUM direct laser engravers: drum, sleeve and roller handling, rotary and linear motion, controls, cooling, extraction, interlocks and accessible laser interfaces. The machine is our object; the imaging recipe is not.
TITANIUM is SPGPrints' multifunction computer-to-plate system, published in 25×30 and 48×35 inch variants and known in older installations as variLEX. PLATINUM is a direct laser engraver, formerly KRONOS, built around a sealed CO2 or fiber laser platform for sleeves, rollers and plate-on-drum work.
They are often spoken about as one “SPGPrints engraver”, and that is where service requests go wrong. A CTP imaging fault and a direct-engraving fault sit in different hardware, so the first thing we establish is which machine is in front of us and in which configuration.
PhaseX can evaluate drum and sleeve handling, chucks, mandrels and drive, rotary and linear motion with feedback, accessible external optics and laser interfaces, industrial controls and I/O, interlocks, cooling, vacuum and extraction. We do not open a sealed laser or engraving head, we do not supply or alter Active 3D RIP recipes or calibrated material databases, we do not install OEM software, licences or updates, and we do not accept a print form or release production. Those remain with the customer and SPGPrints.
Multifunction CTP configuration; confirm installed imaging package, drum size and control generation.
Wide CTP configuration; confirm drum, handling and site services before scope.
Older badge, same equipment lineage; confirm serial number and retrofit history.
Direct laser engraver; confirm laser type, sleeve/roller range and extraction package.
Fiber configuration; confirm installed source interface, cooling circuit and options.
Legacy badge; confirm configuration from the nameplate rather than the name on the door.
These are SPGPrints' own published product names and historic brand names, used to identify customer equipment. They do not state an SPGPrints relationship and do not promise that a sealed laser or engraving head is serviceable by us.
A symptom routes the evaluation; it does not diagnose a failed part.
Send alarm screens, nameplates and the configuration page. Do not send Active 3D RIP recipes, calibrated material databases, licence keys or customer artwork.
Print-form acceptance, material selection and production release stay with the plant. OEM software, licences and updates stay with SPGPrints.
No. We hold no SPGPrints appointment, no OEM software access and no licence rights. We are an independent service company and we state that in writing before work starts.
We can evaluate it on the same terms as the current badge. What decides the scope is the serial number, the installed configuration and the retrofit history, not the name on the door.
No. We establish whether the fault sits in the sealed module or in the drum, handling, motion, control or utility chain around it, and we route an OEM-only module rather than opening it.
No. RIP recipes, calibrated material databases and OEM software stay with the plant and SPGPrints. We report measured machine condition and work on machine hardware.
Five fields to start, and no obligation either way. We reply with an assessment and, where site or bench work makes sense, a written scope and a fixed fee for your approval.
