Independent field service for ECO3 MAGIS DI film and plate imaging systems: drum and vacuum, imaging head and optics, motion and registration, controls, cooling and extraction. ECO3 runs its own North American service organisation; we are additional or alternative capacity, chosen by the plant.
A MAGIS DI is a drum imager. Film or plate is held on a rotating drum under vacuum, an imaging head writes along the drum, and the result depends on vacuum hold, drum runout, head focus and power, axis registration, cooling and extraction working together. A complaint that arrives as “the imager is soft” is usually a question about which of those has drifted.
ECO3 is the manufacturer and maintains its own technical service in North America. We do not present ourselves as a replacement for that. Plants come to us for a second opinion, for cover when their own schedule and the OEM schedule do not meet, or for component-level work on hardware that sits around the imaging chain.
PhaseX can evaluate drum drive and bearings, vacuum generation and sealing, accessible imaging-head interfaces and external optics, linear and rotary motion with its feedback, industrial controls and I/O, interlocks, cooling and extraction. We do not open a sealed imaging head or laser module, we do not supply or alter Amfortis, RIP or material recipes, we do not select plate or film material, and we do not accept a plate process or release production. Software licences and OEM updates stay with the customer and ECO3.
Narrow-format S-series drum imager; confirm installed head, drum width and control generation.
S-series mid format; confirm serial number, vacuum arrangement and extraction package.
H+ configuration; confirm head generation and installed options before scope.
H-series; confirm drum, head and motion configuration from the nameplate.
Wide-format H-series; confirm installed head, cooling circuit and site services.
Widest published H+ format; confirm configuration and access before any visit.
These designations are ECO3's own published product names, used here to identify customer equipment. They do not state an ECO3 relationship, and they do not promise that every module on a given machine is serviceable by us.
A symptom routes the evaluation; it does not diagnose a failed part.
Send alarm screens, nameplates and the configuration page. Do not send Amfortis or RIP recipes, calibration files, software licence keys or customer artwork.
Material selection, plate process acceptance and production release stay with the plant. Where a module is ECO3-only, we say so and route it rather than opening it.
No. ECO3 has its own technical service organisation in North America, and we are not part of it and hold no ECO3 appointment. We are independent capacity a plant can choose, and we say that in writing before any work.
No. A sealed imaging head or laser module is not opened. We establish whether the fault sits in that module or in the drum, vacuum, motion, control or utility chain around it, and route an OEM-only module accordingly.
No. Amfortis, RIP and material recipes, calibrated material databases and software licences stay with the plant and ECO3. We work on machine hardware and report measured machine condition.
The model and serial number from the plate, the head generation, the drum and vacuum arrangement, the exact alarm text, and what changed first. That is normally enough to say whether a site visit is the right next step.
Five fields to start, and no obligation either way. We reply with an assessment and, where site or bench work makes sense, a written scope and a fixed fee for your approval.
