Aerospace and Turbine Multi-Axis Laser Equipment Service

Independent equipment service for multi-axis laser machines used on aerospace and turbine components: five-axis and rotary motion, processing heads, accessible source interfaces, assist gas, cooling, extraction, controls and the cell safety chain. We service the machine. The part, the programme and the certificate stay with you.

Multi-axis drilling and cutting cells, as service objects

These machines combine a laser source with five-axis or rotary-plus-tilt motion, a processing head, assist gas, coolant, extraction and a controller that coordinates all of it. On turbine hardware the tolerance stack is tight and the parts are expensive, so a machine that is merely drifting is treated as down. The question a service call has to answer first is which layer moved: motion and feedback, head and optics, gas delivery, thermal, or control.

This page covers drilling, cutting and multi-axis processing equipment. Deposition, cladding, powder and wire feed and robotic welding cells are a different machine class and are covered on the welding, cladding and DED cell page. Keeping the two apart is deliberate: the feed path and the five-axis table fail in different ways and need different conversations.

Scope in one paragraph

PhaseX can evaluate five-axis and rotary motion with drives, encoders and reference hardware, machine-side head interfaces and accessible external optics, assist-gas delivery and regulation, coolant and thermal circuits, extraction, machine controls, I/O, HMI, interlocks and the cell safety chain, plus accessible source power and communication interfaces where the architecture and authorization permit. We do not open sealed optical modules, we do not write, change or recover part programmes or process parameters, we do not perform qualification, revalidation, first article inspection or non-destructive testing, and we do not release a certified component. Export-controlled, classified and customer-proprietary data stays on your side of the fence and is not requested.

Platforms and installed families we are asked about

01

Prima Power LASERDYNE 795

Multi-axis laser processing system; confirm axis configuration, installed source, head and control generation.

02

Prima Power LASERDYNE 811

Published LASERDYNE platform; confirm configuration and installed options from the nameplate.

03

LASERDYNE 430 and 606D installed base

Legacy families still in service. We can evaluate accessible layers; this is not a statement that parts or OEM support remain available.

04

DMG MORI LASERTEC 50, 100 and 160 PowerDrill / PowerShape

Multi-axis drilling and shaping platforms; confirm model, generation and installed laser package.

05

Winbro DRILL-300

Published Winbro drilling platform; confirm axis and head configuration before scope.

06

Winbro 100 and 200 Series laser platforms

Further published Winbro families; confirm nameplate and installed configuration.

07

Synova MCS 500 and MCS 300 Laser MicroJet

Water-jet-guided laser systems; confirm water and optics arrangement and the installed configuration.

08

TRUMPF TruLaser Cell 3000 and 7040

Multi-axis cells used for cutting and welding of three-dimensional parts; confirm generation and installed options.

09

Other multi-axis aerospace and turbine laser machines

Send machine, source, head and controller nameplates. An unlisted builder is not an automatic refusal.

These are manufacturer-published platform names, used to identify customer equipment. They are product-identity evidence only. Naming a platform here does not state that PhaseX has already serviced it, does not imply an OEM relationship, and does not imply any military or government authorization.

Parts and assemblies owners ask about

  • Linear and rotary axis drives, motors, encoders, limits and reference hardware
  • Rotary tables, tilt units, bearings and machine-side mechanics
  • Processing head interfaces, accessible external optics and protective windows
  • Assist-gas regulation, valves, manifolds, filtration and pressure devices
  • Coolant pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, flow and temperature devices
  • Extraction blowers, ducting, filters and monitoring hardware
  • Industrial PCs, CNC and PLC hardware, I/O, HMI, safety relays and interlocks

Parts and assemblies owners ask about

Observable machine symptoms

  • Machine will not reach ready, or aborts partway through a programme
  • Axis reference, positioning or repeatability fault across the envelope
  • Rotary or tilt unit backlash, drift or reference loss
  • Head not available, unstable indication or communication loss
  • Assist-gas pressure, purity or regulation alarm
  • Coolant, flow or temperature trip; extraction or filter alarm
  • Programme completes but the result has moved against the shop's own reference

A symptom routes the evaluation; it does not diagnose a failed part.

Access, safety and customer-owned decisions

Send machine nameplates, exact alarm text and authorised screen images. Do not send part programmes, process parameters, engine or component drawings, inspection records, or anything export-controlled, classified or customer-proprietary. We do not need them and we will not store them.

Process parameters, part programmes, qualification and revalidation, first article inspection, non-destructive testing, certified-component release and airworthiness determinations remain with the owner, the certificate holder and the relevant authority. A PhaseX report documents machine condition and machine work. It is not a part acceptance and it carries no airworthiness meaning.

PhaseX is not a repair station, holds no aviation approval, and claims no military or government authorization. Where your programme requires an approved source for a given activity, that activity is outside our scope and we say so before travel.

What to send before service planning

  • Machine builder, model, serial number and axis configuration
  • Installed source and head, with control or CNC generation
  • Assist-gas, coolant and extraction arrangement
  • Exact alarm text, event time and the first subsystem to change
  • Whether the cell is stopped, degraded or in planned maintenance
  • Site access requirements, including any export-control or site-security conditions

Questions owners ask

Does a PhaseX report mean a part is acceptable or airworthy?

No. We report machine condition and the work performed on the machine. Qualification, first article inspection, non-destructive testing, certified-component release and airworthiness stay with the owner, the certificate holder and the relevant authority.

Can you recover or correct a part programme or drilling parameters?

No. Part programmes and process parameters are yours. We do not ask for them, we do not write them and we do not change them. We work on the machine that executes them.

How is this page different from the welding, cladding and DED page?

This page covers multi-axis drilling, cutting and processing machines. The other page covers deposition and cladding cells with powder or wire feed and robotic welding. Different hardware, different failure behaviour, different service conversation.

Do you hold aviation or military approvals?

No. PhaseX is an independent service company, is not a repair station, holds no aviation approval and claims no military or government authorization. Where your programme requires an approved source, that work is outside our scope.

Tell us what the machine is doing

Five fields to start, and no obligation either way. We reply with an assessment and, where site or bench work makes sense, a written scope and a fixed fee for your approval.
