Independent Industrial Laser Service · New Jersey

Industrial laser service engineered for uptime.

PhaseX provides independent laser technical services across the United States and Canada. We install, commission, relocate and repair industrial laser machinery: fiber cutting, marking and engraving, cleaning, welding and cladding systems, robotic cells and automated loading lines. We service the parts most owners cannot get serviced locally, including laser sources, power supplies, scan heads and fiber delivery cables. On site, from New Jersey.

Laser cutting machines

Field service for the source, beam delivery, cutting head, motion, controls and the machine systems that determine whether a part can ship.

Scientific laser systems

Independent evaluation and repair for ultrafast, Ti:Sapphire, picosecond, OPO and OPA systems, harmonic stages, drivers and power supplies.

Packaging and printing lines

Service for plate imagers, laser converting, coding and marking, engraving systems and the production equipment around them.

Scientific laser repair Request service

Going straight to the part of the machine you are asking about: laser source repair, cutting head repair, cutting machine repair or retrofit and modernization. Holding a part rather than a machine, with a number on it that returns nothing? That goes to spare part evaluation. Not sure what a term on the machine means? The laser service glossary defines 102 of them.

Rather not wait for the call? Monthly and quarterly preventive maintenance programs put the machines you depend on on a schedule, with an equipment record and written findings after every visit.

What we are called to

The systems behind the machines

Five equipment families we are called out to, in the order their owners feel a stoppage. Each panel shows what the system is made of and where our responsibility starts and stops.

  1. Semiconductor and advanced packaging: system layers inside the PhaseX service scope, and the items outside it that belong to the customer or the equipment maker.
Original PhaseX schematic showing the system layers and the boundary of our service scope. Representative of the equipment class, not a photograph of completed work.
    Semiconductor and advanced packaging

A microprocessing or advanced-packaging tool that stops holds up every wafer behind it in the line. We work the source interface, the beam delivery, the stage and motion, the control and interlocks, the extraction and the utilities. A sealed optical module is not opened: it is replaced, or routed back to its maker, and we tell you which before you commit.

    Laser source and subsystem repair
  2. Battery and e-mobility: system layers inside the PhaseX service scope, and the items outside it that belong to the customer or the equipment maker.
Original PhaseX schematic showing the system layers and the boundary of our service scope. Representative of the equipment class, not a photograph of completed work.
    Battery and e-mobility

Busbar welding, can-to-cap sealing and tray lines run on fiber sources, programmable optics, fixtures and the sensor and vision interfaces that gate the weld. That is electronics, optics and control hardware, and it is what we evaluate and repair. Weld qualification and the production record stay with you.

  3. Scientific and ultrafast laboratory systems: system layers inside the PhaseX service scope, and the items outside it that belong to the customer or the equipment maker.
Original PhaseX schematic showing the system layers and the boundary of our service scope. Representative of the equipment class, not a photograph of completed work.
    Scientific and ultrafast laboratory systems

An ultrafast system on an optical bench is not a machine tool and does not fail like one. Oscillator and seed, amplifier, drivers and power supplies, the optical path, thermal control and the measurement that proves the output: we work at component level on platforms whose support route has often lapsed.

    Scientific laser repair
  4. Packaging, plate imaging and coding: system layers inside the PhaseX service scope, and the items outside it that belong to the customer or the equipment maker.
Original PhaseX schematic showing the system layers and the boundary of our service scope. Representative of the equipment class, not a photograph of completed work.
    Packaging, plate imaging and coding

A plate imager or a coding head holding up a converting line is a production emergency with a short fuse. Imaging source, scan head and optics, drum or web motion, registration and encoders, machine control and extraction are all in scope. Print and plate quality remain yours to judge.

    Packaging laser service
  5. Robotic welding, cladding and deposition: system layers inside the PhaseX service scope, and the items outside it that belong to the customer or the equipment maker.
Original PhaseX schematic showing the system layers and the boundary of our service scope. Representative of the equipment class, not a photograph of completed work.
    Robotic welding, cladding and deposition

Cladding and deposition cells add a powder or wire delivery path, a cladding head and shielding to the source, motion and control hardware we already work on. We inspect the system as a whole and set out repair, replacement or a routed partner in the written proposal. Metallurgical qualification of a deposit is yours.

    Retrofit and modernisation

What we do

What our laser technical services cover

01

Installation and commissioning

Machine placement coordination, utility checks, alignment, first cuts and operator handover for new and imported laser machinery: flatbed and tube cutters, robotic cells, coil-fed and automated loading lines, and laser welding, cleaning and cladding systems. Site readiness is reviewed before delivery.

02

Diagnostics and field repair

Machine-down service calls: cutting problems, motion and CNC faults, chiller and cooling issues, interlocks, electrical troubleshooting, and cutting-head work on Raytools, BOCI, OSPRI and similar heads.

03

Laser source and power systems

Component-level diagnostics and repair on Raycus, IPG, MAX, JPT and GW sources, power supplies and DC modules: the failures that usually mean waiting for an overseas technician.

04

Fiber delivery cable support

Inspection and damage assessment of high-power delivery cables and QBH/QD connections, with removal, managed repair and reinstallation handled under a defined scope.

05

Relocation and recommissioning

Pre-move condition documentation, dismantling scope, utility requirements at the new site, transport coordination with rigging partners, and startup after the move.

06

Retrofit and modernization

Conversion of legacy CO2 machines to fiber, and modernization of aging Trumpf, Amada and other European and Japanese platforms with current-generation sources, cutting heads and control systems. We have done these conversions before; scope and feasibility are defined per machine.

07

Preventive maintenance

Scheduled inspection and maintenance with written reports, so machine condition is documented before it becomes downtime.

About

Built by people who built the machines

PhaseX Laser Services is an industrial laser service company based in Parsippany, New Jersey, and a registered DBA of CoreX Robotics Services LLC. Our background is industrial machinery manufacturing and field service. We built, installed and serviced fiber laser cutting machines before founding PhaseX. That includes laser source diagnostics and high-power fiber delivery cable work.

Machine importers and owners work with us because we solve on site what would otherwise require a technician flown in from the manufacturer. We work across the United States and Canada from the New Jersey base: the Northeast gets the fastest response, and machine-down calls, installations and scheduled work are covered across the United States and Canada.

How we work

Every job runs on a written scope

01
Scope before dispatch

Confirmed in writing

Machine, fault, site conditions, required tooling and documentation are confirmed in writing before any visit. Scheduling and response time are confirmed for each assignment.

02
Work on site

Named machine, fault, fix

The agreed scope is executed on site. We name the machine, the fault and the fix. Findings are shared as they happen, not after the invoice.

03
Documented report

Every job closes on paper

Every job closes with a written service report: machine and serial data, reported symptom, diagnostic actions, readings, parts, test results and open items, with photos.

New-generation laser source, CNC control and servo drives
Source · CNC · drives · servo motors
Full retrofits

We replace the whole control chain

When a machine is worth keeping but its electronics are done, we replace the entire chain, not a single part: CNC and control system, servo drives and complete motor groups, cutting head, laser source and fiber delivery cable.

New-generation components, matched to the machine and wired and commissioned as one system. Scope and feasibility are defined per machine before any work starts.

Packaging and printing lasers

We service the lasers that make packaging.

Flexo plate imaging, laser die cutting and converting, gravure and rotary screen engraving, and production line coding. Independent field service for machines that are out of warranty, out of support, or built by a company that is no longer there.

Packaging laser service
Scientific and research lasers

We also work on scientific lasers, including the ones the manufacturer stopped supporting.

Two services for universities, laboratories and photonics companies. Repair and diagnostics when an existing laser has stopped producing usable output. Systems integration when an experiment has to be built, automated, moved or brought back into service.

Scope and fit

What we service, and what sits outside it

PhaseX is an independent industrial laser service company working across the United States and Canada. Industrial laser repair on cutting, welding, marking and cleaning machines; fiber laser repair and laser source repair down to the driver, control and interface boards; packaging and printing laser machinery; and scientific and ultrafast laboratory systems. On site or on a bench, under a written scope and a fixed evaluation fee quoted before anyone travels.

Two different trades share the word laser and this company is neither of them: medical and aesthetic laser treatment for people is a clinical business, and office laser printer repair is an IT one. We do service laser cutting machines - the machine, the source, the head and the controls - but we do not sell cutting work itself, so if you need parts cut, a job shop is the right call.
